About painting...
When painting a portrait, it's like looking inside a person and trying to capture their inner being on a canvas. Usually that is accomplished in the final stages of painting, when I concentrate on the smallest of details. I think the small things; the tiniest details create the magic.
I love to create portraits because in a way, it's like stopping time and preserving that fraction of time, a moment on canvas or film forever. And there's not a better feeling than to watch someone to see their portrait for the first time and see the emotions dipslayed on their face.
About photography...
I love to add a story to a classical portrait; to use a single person in a single photograph and show their many personalities and transformations...
Although I also love to work with analogue photography and develop pictures in darkroom, digital photography opens new horizons to editing and composing photographs and I'm trying to take the best advantage of this new technology...
